If you intend to use your Holiday Home in the winter period (Nov - Jan) you need to protect it with a heating control room thermostat. You can walk away and put this device into frost mode and it will look after the whole caravan / park home. And in the most extreme weather conditions the most damage you will ever receive would be a broken fitting on the external side of the premises. (If the taps inside have been left open and toilets flushed then you would not even suffer that). The other good part of having a room stat it saving money it saves massively on Gas because it turns the boiler Off when it has reached it set target temperature. last year December 2022 lots of caravans suffered from a bad visit of frost running into hundreds of pounds of damage, quite simply having a Room Stat left in frost position would have avoided that all the damage. It makes life easier and cheaper.
